Abstract

The article deals of problems of representation of cultural heritage in modern project culture. Signs of the transition from postmodernism to metamodernism are traced in the change in the nature of creative activity in the design of costume of XX-XXI centuries. Modernism and postmodernism relied on prior cultural heritage, while in the culture of postmodernism period the author’s interpretation of the objects of the real world developed, including the further visualization of new images. The new paradigm of metamodernism in the project culture is focused on performance, the use of kinetic structures in design objects and is formed under the pressure of integrated system knowledge, technological achievements and technical effects. Development of information technologies is irreversible restructured the nature of relations in the socio-cultural space, but the cultural acts of the present, in particular, computer generated images, are virtual character. This kind of creative human activity is not directed at the design of objects with long-term cultural value. The ways of rethinking the tradition in the culture, as well as the mechanisms for the representation of cultural heritage in the design of modern costumes, are outlined. The most promising direction of modern design culture is redefining the traditions of creating a new image, revealing the dynamics of succession processes and the further development of morphological forms, direct analogies which are widely represented in nature. Interdisciplinary research has been carried out in the field of studying and actualization objects of cultural heritage and form-finding of costume, which makes it possible to form a single general theoretical concept of ecological design. The prognostic of the evolution of the modern project culture is made from the standpoint of the methodology of ecological design and the search for a new strategy for shaping the costume are analyzed.
